Nothing Says Wedding Like Water Tower
Attention brides: We know it is challenging, this never-ending quest for unique, memorable settings in which to tie the knot. (Me? I copped out with the utterly predictable church affair.) If I were getting hitched now, I think I’d one-up my peers with a creative Water Tower event, especially if I could arrange it at a tower as lovely as this one in Louisville, Kentucky. Part of the Louisville Visual Art Association, the Water Tower
…is a 19th century historic landmark on the banks of the Scenic Ohio River. A major monument of the Greek Revival Style architecture, the building with its 169 foot tall standpipe tower was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1971 and has been the home the art association since 1974. This spacious facility provides an elegant setting for your wedding, reception, graduation party, business meeting or any special day you want to celebrate in elegance.
The Louisville facility rents for $2000 on Saturdays which, of course, will be a tiny portion of the modern couple’s wedding budget.
In planning your spectacular water tower nuptials weigh the pros and cons. Pro: even your teetotaler guests will get tanked! Con: nervous couples now have to worry about rain AND leaks!
